About Line Upon Line

Line Upon Line is a nonprofit Bible teaching ministry — the verse-by-verse teaching archive of Pastor Miles DeBenedictis. Its purpose is simple: to make two decades of careful, expositional Bible teaching freely available to anyone who wants to study, grow, and apply the Scriptures.

“But the word of the LORD was to them, ‘Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.’” — Isaiah 28:13

The name comes from Isaiah 28:13. It is the affirmation that the word of the LORD did, in fact, come to His people — patiently, a line at a time. That is how the Scriptures are taught here: a passage at a time, letting God’s Word speak for itself, explained in its context and applied to everyday life.

How the teaching is offered

Every message is available as audio, and — wherever it exists — alongside a full, readable transcript, so the teaching can be heard, read, searched, and revisited. The first complete series available here is the Book of Romans, a verse-by-verse study of Paul’s letter, with many more series in preparation.
