Pastor Miles issues a brief public service announcement warning that scammers are impersonating him by email and requesting gift cards. He urges people not to be deceived or to send any gift cards.

  • Pastor Miles is sending this notice on both his personal YouTube channel and the Cross Connection Church channel.
  • People have received emails appearing to come from him asking for gift cards.
  • These emails are a scam; the sender's address is not his actual email.
  • Someone is impersonating him, and this is not a legitimate request.
  • Do not be deceived and do not send any gift cards.

A quick word of warning: scammers are impersonating Pastor Miles by email—don't be fooled.

A Quick Pastoral PSA

Hello, friends. You can count this as a quick pastoral public service announcement. The reason I'm sending it out on both my YouTube channel and the Cross Connection Church YouTube channel is that I've been getting texts and emails from people I correspond with who are asking whether I sent them an email requesting gift cards.

Don't Be Scammed

That is a scam. If you look at the email address, it's definitely not my email address—someone is impersonating me. You could say that impersonation is the highest form of flattery, but in this situation that is not the case. So don't be scammed. Do not send me any gift cards; those requests are not from me. Don't get sucked into it.

God bless you guys. I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks.
